FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ABOUT US
1. DO YOU HAVE A RETAIL STORE LOCATED IN MY STATE?
Danyal Paraiba is currently distributed among our authorized resellers and are available at their stores. You can browse through the most up to date list by clicking on the resellers link.
2. DO YOU HAVE GEMOLOGISTS ON STAFF?
Yes. You can be rest assured that our stones are 100% natural. Due to the high quality of the product and the extreme rarity of the gemstone, it is common to find many gemologists and jewelers with limited experience and exposure to Paraiba to make the common mistake of assuming the stone is synthetic or do not recognize the stone. The smaller stones typically below 0.50ct are mined at the source in Brazil and the larger stones are mined at the source in Mozambique, so we are absolutely certain that the stones that are used are 100% natural. By company policy, our stones that are 2ct and up are GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certified. GIA is the world’s foremost authority in gemstones and thus have the level of experience and exposure to identify our stones as genuine. All pieces come with a Danyal Certificate of Authenticity which provides the company guarantee that all the Paraiba are 100% genuine. Some of the pieces come with an independent appraisal as well.
3. WHERE ARE THE CORPORATE OFFICES OF DANYAL PARAIBA LOCATED?

OUR PARAIBA AND JEWELRY
1. WHY DOES PARAIBA TOURMALINE HAVE SUCH A UNIQUE NEON COLOR?
At Danyal Paraiba we use only 100% natural Paraiba Tourmaline. We source stones that showcase this unique neon color since for us this brand was created to showcase and make available this vibrant stone to the world. The neon color in paraiba tourmaline comes from the trace element copper. Copper is also the same element that gives turquoise its unique color.
2. WHAT ABOUT THE CLARITY OF THE PARAIBA USED IN YOUR JEWELRY?
Danyal Paraiba maintains high standards of quality control. We strive to use the very best stones in our jewelry. You can be rest assured that the clarity of the stones used are very good. However, for whatever reason, if you are unhappy with the piece of jewelry you have received, we provide a 14 day risk free return policy so you have nothing to worry about.
3. WHY DOES DANYAL PARAIBA SOURCE FROM BOTH AFRICA AND BRAZIL?
There are very subtle differences in Paraibas from the different sources. It takes sophisticated tests to determine origin, and chemically the stones are virtually identical anyway with only slight variations in trace elements to differentiate them.
Paraibas from Brazil tend to be very fragmented and are rarely produced over one carat in size whereas paraibas from Africa tend to be larger. The real difference lies in the retention of color. Brazilian Paraibas have such high intensity in color that even if the stones are small, when put together they showcase the “neon” color that makes paraiba so special. However, paraibas from Africa are typically seen in larger sizes since the smaller stones look more like aquamarines due to the poor retention of color.
Our goal as a brand was to produce jewelry of various price ranges so everyone can get something they can afford. It only made sense for us to create jewelry using the Brazilian stones below 0.5ct to make the jewelry affordable yet retain the “neon” color that makes paraibas so special. We typically use only the best African stones for designs that incorporate single stones larger than 0.5ct. It will be interesting to note that a 1ct Brazilian Paraiba typically runs anywhere from $25,000 to $50,000 per carat depending on the quality.
4. WHAT ARE GIA REPORTS?
GIA (Gemological Institute of America) is the world’s foremost authority in gemstones and thus has the level of experience and exposure to identify our stones as genuine. GIA reports provide additional proof that our stones are authentic.
5. HOW CAN I MAKE SURE THE JEWELRY I RECEIVE IS ACTUALLY THE JEWELRY?
All our pieces come engraved with the actual weight of the Paraiba and Diamonds that are used. By comparing these weights to your order will tell you that you received the right piece. You can also compare the design image and see if it matches the piece you receive in the mail.
6. MY LOCAL JEWELER TOLD ME THAT THE JEWELRY I GOT WAS A SYNTHETIC?
Due to the high quality of the product and the extreme rarity of the gemstone, it is common to find many gemologists and jewelers with limited experience and exposure to Paraiba to make the common mistake of assuming the stone is synthetic or do not recognize the stone. Danyal Paraiba are mined at the source in Brazil and Africa, so we are absolutely certain that the stones that are used are 100% natural. By company policy, our stones that are 2ct and up are GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certified.
